Saturday 24th July sees the launch of the 2010 Mongol Rally. Teams from across the globe will again endeavour to drive from the UK, Italy and Spain to reach Ulaanbaatar in approximately four weeks. There is no official route in that teams can choose their own way and there is no back up. Teams have been known to break down in the desert armed only with duct tape, and been held up on borders, the record being seven days so far! Bribes and trying to come up with the best excuse not to pay them only add to the adventure that sees hundreds apply to take part in the rally every year. Each participating team must commit to raising £1,000.00 for charity and the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation has been one of the official beneficiary charities since 2006. All funds raised support the Blue Skies Ger Village in Ulaanbaatar, and all teams, assuming they make it, are welcome to visit and meet the children and see where their money goes and how it makes a difference. We wish all the teams a safe journey look forward to meeting many of them at Goodwood! For more information on the rally please visit http://mongolrally.theadventurists.com/
