CNCF was successfully nominated as Tour De Force's chosen charity for 2008 at a committee meeting in November 2007. CNCF have identified Captain Americas Restaurant as the main sponsor.

In September 2008, Tour De Force is proposing that 50 Gardai will start the cycle in Dublin from Marrowbone Lane where Christina was born and will work their way from Cherbourg in the north of France to Paris, raising funds for and awareness of CNCF.
