Medical Assistance Programme
- Vietnam -
Our Medical Assistance Programme has seen over 2,000 children receiving medical assistance since its inception in 1999. This includes the cost of life saving surgical procedures, post-operative care, free basic medical treatment, social support and free health insurance.
Our Medical Exchange Programme, designed to help establish best practice in all areas of Paediatric Surgery in Vietnam, is co-ordinated through The Medical Assistance Programme. The Exchange Programme was established in 2003 by CNCF together with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. The aim of the programme is to bring world-class medical expertise to Vietnam on a regular basis, while also taking key local Vietnamese medical staff to Ireland to train.
