In recent years CNCF Australia and its supporters played an essential role in the successful building of the Kim Dong Kindergarten and Huu Thanh Kindergarten. Now we are pleased to announce CNCF Australia/New Zealand will be continuing their partnership with the Vinh Long Province to fund and build a third kindergarten in 2016.
The Kindergarten will reflect the facilities and environment of the two previous kindergartens, with modern facilities and new furniture to ensure the children will have a bright and safe learning experience.
Due to a lack of classrooms for children many communities are forced to improvise using substandard buildings and children are often sent further away from their community to attend kindergarten. This new school will reach more families and will be able to enrol a greater amount of children with three classrooms accommodating ninety children.
This project will see a positive impact on the overall economic strength of the region. The parents of these children will be able to go to work each day and generate more income with the reassurance their child is learning in a safe and fun environment. The construction of this kindergarten will also assist in helping to create jobs for local people and project management skills for local officials.
Increase literacy strength
The lack of appropriate learning facilities within Vinh Long means children of preschool age are ill prepared for primary education. Pre-school education is considered to play a central part of a child’s transition to primary school; therefore the kindergarten will help get the children up to speed in reading, writing and numeracy. New facilities and an equipped environment will help children with physical development, development of their brain and understanding appropriate social behaviour.
