The award is call "THE ONE" THE ONE is bestowed to that special caring individual who truly puts Service Above Self – THE ONE who dedicates his or her…
THE ONE is someone who dedicates themself to the improvement of mankind, works for the highest standard of good, acts with compassion and kindness and can come from any part of the world, regardless of gender, race or ethnic background. The winner also receives prize money of US$100,000, donated by the award sponsor Richard Elman, to be used to further their humanitarian-cause and service their projects.
Christina made it to be one of four finalists that attended the Gala Award Dinner on Thursday 6th June in Hong Kong. The award was given to Valerie Taylor for her 43 years of service to the disabled in Bangladesh. Valerie established the Centre forRehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP) in 1979, where 15,000 outpatients are seen every year. CRP also works to reduce accidents and provides schooling and vocational training for patients. To empower the community, Valerie established the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute to train medical personnel.
Christina was certainly in inspiring and esteemed company and we are very proud that she was a runner up in this award. A great acknowledgement of her resilient commitment to looking after the children at most risk in Vietnam and Mongolia.
Congratulations Christina! We are so honoured and proud to be working for you.
