During we have had 4 groups of CNCF Noble Walkers showing their support and walking, climbing and trekking in a tremendous effort to raise for CNCF!
By taking on the simple process of creating a walk yourself, inviting as a handful of people and following our easy steps to sponsorship – they managed to raise over $4,000, that equates to 15 families in the Vinh Long Province now having access to clean and safe water!
Being a Noble Walker is just one reason to get up for a Sunday morning walk with your family and friends while raising crucial funds for children in Vietnam and Mongolia who don’t have access to the necessities of life we take for granted.
Here are three great stories of the month of March which was considered our Noble Walkers month!
The beautiful Sunshine Coast is the home to Liz Wootton and Ciara Shouldice who both participated in the same walk on Sunday the 20th of March. The pair met while volunteering for CNCF at our Sunshine Centre in Vietnam.
The group of 11 were up and ready at 9:30 and to climb Mount Ngun Ngun, one of the many mountains that make up the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The 45-minute walk was not too difficult and the view was what made it all worth it in the end. Once they had all completed the walk, all 11 of them walked around the base of Mount Tibrogargan, located next to Ngun Ngun. Overall it was a great success and we are so grateful for all the money they have helped raise for CNCF.
With months of preparation, The Big Walk took place from Lilydale to Emerald lake in Victoria. All up it was a 40km walk taking just over 10hrs and 40minutes! Not only a stunning part of Australia but what a spectacular effort!
“We have a lot to be thankful for and are so lucky in this country. So I just wanted to do something for those that don't have as many opportunities as us.” - Michael
These stories are only a couple of the many we have had across the country, thanks to our amazing Noble Walkers.
