Boys Sunshine Home
- Vietnam -
We opened our Boys Sunshine Home in 1994 to provide a safe and caring environment for young street boys who were living on the streets and at risk of sexual and commercial exploitation, trafficking and the threat of violence. The boys home aims to provide a safe haven; a place where the boys are cared for as they would be in a family unit.
All of our children living in our Sunshine Homes have experienced childhood trauma in one form or another. To help the children process these experiences, we provide regular sessions with trained counsellors and social workers. All of our boys benefit from education and vocational training. Boys are also encouraged to develop their sport and creativity through our Sunshine Arts and Music and Sports Programmes. We believe that education is the key to empowering our children with the strength, knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to become well adjusted individuals.
