Thank you is never enough, but it’s a start and it’s sincere and heartfelt. 💛

CNCF are immensely grateful for the outpouring of generosity and kindness from our community in response to our Emergency Relief Appeal in our last newsletter.

A very big heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
100% of all donations made to our Emergency Relief Fund Campaign go directly to helping children and families that are in very desperate situations.

Since we launched CNCF’s Emergency Relief Fund in 2020 our community has continued to kindly donate enabling CNCF to deliver critical humanitarian assistance to children and families whose lives have been totally dismantled by the pandemic.

It is only because of your additional support and donations, have we been able to provide emergency relief to almost 13,000 vulnerable people throughout the pandemic in addition to keeping our normal projects operating in Vietnam and Mongolia and we can never thank our community enough for this.

Your response to CNCF’s Emergency Appeal is truly a testament to what we can achieve together for those most in need.

“I was extremely worried when another lockdown was announced. I did not know how we would get through when I could no longer sell vegetables on the streets. With no income, I often skipped meals so I could save what little we had for my grandchild who lives with me. The Foundation came to us when we needed help the most, and for which I will be forever grateful. It was like a miracle happened when we received the emergency relief support from CNCF, our great burdens of daily food and rental fees were immediately alleviated. I still cry with relief everyday. I cannot thank you enough.” – Mrs. Thu*

“Having lost my job I was unable to afford food for my already malnourished young children. Living in dilapidated shelter, our lives are further burdened with hardships of the pending frigid winter of extreme snowstorms which will soon arrive. The emergency relief support of CNCF, went beyond simply providing basic necessities. We were given back our hopes knowing that there are good people out there who are willing to support vulnerable families like ours through very difficult times. Thank you CNCF and all those people who  support the Foundation’s work. You are making such a big difference to me and my children.” – Ms. Gerel*

Together, we are helping lives.
Together, we are stronger.

THANK YOU

From Christina, the Children, the Families and all of us at CNCF.

Although Vietnam and Mongolia have continued fighting bravely since January 2020 to mitigate the spread of the virus and deal with the consequential health and economic impacts, this recent 4th outbreak in both countries has escalated the devastation on those already struggling to survive poverty and a pandemic now in its second year.

Left with no choice under the weight of a rapidly spreading virus, restrictions have now increased to maximum security levels in Ho Chi Minh City (where CNCF HQ is based) with the deployment of the military in an attempt to slow down rapid infection rate and where the most stringent lockdown measures are now in place.

Government agencies, local and foreign NGO’s have been working tirelessly to get food and essential items across Ho Chi Minh City which has a population of 9 million people.

The High Command of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) has as of 23rd August deployed 310 military units to assist in COVID-19 prevention and control efforts and officially mobilise military officers for pandemic response missions. More than 30,000 military and police officers have been put in charge of participating in the efforts to bring the 4th and most devastating wave of the virus under control. WHERE YOUR DONATIONS WILL HELP

This current 4th wave has been brutal. Children and families who are already surviving poverty are in urgent and desperate need of ongoing emergency relief.

Your donations will help CNCF get aid to people who are in great need right now.

Migrant families from the countryside who came to Ho Chi Minh City in search of a better life, have been desperately struggling through lockdowns as they watched their livelihoods vanish.  Many have had no choice but to forgo their hopes of a better life for their families and are desperately trying to make their way back to their provinces of origin. Many have been held up at check-points as authorities try their best to stop the spread of the virus further across the country.

CNCF have up scaled efforts with its Emergency Relief Campaign.
CNCF continue working tirelessly to deliver need dependent combination emergency relief packages in addition to psychosocial support to ensure the most vulnerable are fed and safe and are able to survive the destructive and crippling impact of this fourth wave and a pandemic in its second year.

CNCF have been able to provide emergency relief to almost 13,000 vulnerable people,  whilst also keeping our projects operating in both Vietnam and Mongolia as much as restrictions have allowed; only thanks to the generous support and donations from our community and for which we remain deeply deeply grateful for.

WE ARE POWERLESS TO HELP WITHOUT YOUR HELP

Risks of exploitation and threats of trafficking are now significantly amplified for those who are vulnerable

No donation is a small donation every cent helps to save lives. For $25, YOU can provide food, clean water, basic necessities and psychological support to a family in need

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO CNCF’s EMERGENCY APPEAL

OUR PROMISE TO YOU
100% of your donation will go directly to provide urgent humanitarian aid to those who remain in very desperate need.

Dear all,

As industry shut down across the globe to mitigate the transmission of the virus, socio-economic and escalating job losses have become an epidemic in itself for so many. The gravity of such long-term psychosocial impact on humanity is not to be underestimated. If there was ever a time in my life where the phrase ‘we are all in this together’ rings true, it is now, as consequential impacts of this pandemic does not discriminate. However, ‘we are all in this together’ is not entirely true for everyone. The stark reality is, our most vulnerable members of society are never the world’s priority in the best of times and they most certainly are not now, especially in times of great global distress compounded with health and economic distractions and as those of us working on the front line have seen in 2020.

Whilst we suffered and continue to suffer great losses with funding in 2020, the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation has been one of the lucky ones. We have been able to push through and our doors remain very much open, and this is a testament to ‘our people’, friends and supporters who have continued to support our work with donations, volunteered time and given their professional services pro bono. Our people make us who we are, we never lose sight of this, you are the lifeblood and the very fabric of our Foundation. Our teams in the field that work directly with the children and their families have gone above and beyond the call of duty in 2020, and whilst they ordinarily never cease to amaze me, I have been left so deeply humbled by their self-sacrificing efforts and commitment to the children we work with. The term that CNCF often uses is ‘Stronger Together’ and this rings true more than ever this year.

However, one does not have to look too far, nor be on the front-line of a second or third world country where CNCF works, to see more people, more families more individuals being plunged in to further crisis, fear and loneliness; as this year and its growing uncertainties have escalated to mammoth proportions for many.

Therefore, my end of year message, and in the true spirit of my mother Christina, and her Foundation, is this, although we desperately remain very much in need of funds to keep our own projects operating, I do not ask you to donate to the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation this Christmas, I ask instead that you consider the following…

Is there someone in your neighbourhood or your wider community who is vulnerable and in need of help?
  • Donate to a local charity in your own community that serves those who are vulnerable.
  • Volunteer with a local charity; the financial burden on many charities in 2020 has been nothing less than crippling as demands for help have skyrocketed.
  • Gather your family neighbours and friends – make food parcels, so all families in your community can at least enjoy a decent meal together over the festive season.
  • Purchase toys for children whose families are struggling this festive season so they too can have the gift of Christmas.
  • Give a coat, a warm pair of shoes to someone who needs them.
  • Check in on your elderly neighbours. Make sure they are warm and they have food to eat.
  • Be a good neighbour. Care about those in your community who are vulnerable and struggling; a simple smile of acknowledgement is sometimes all that it takes to lift the spirit of someone who is having a bad day. A smile costs nothing, yet is priceless.
Remember, every morning we are born again, it’s what we do today that matters most.
Bless you all and on behalf of Christina Noble, all at CNCF and especially the Children we are blessed to work with, we thank you for all you have done for us in 2020.
Stronger Together.

Helenita Noble, CEO

“Childhood is the very foundation of life and that is why I call this a Foundation as opposed to a Charity.”
