"Before arriving at the Foundation I used to live with my mother and stepfather in very hard conditions. Life was extremely difficult for me at this time. I was not happy at home and at school I was the shy, unconfident student who rarely spoke.
When I was eleven I went to live at the Christina Noble Children's Foundation's Blue Skies Ger Village. I had never been around so many other children before and especially not in one place where we could play together and really enjoy ourselves.
The ger village is home to lots of kind, polite and neat children and in no time I adapted to my new surroundings to become one of them. We all strived to uphold the ger village name by making accomplishments at tournaments and competitions.
I was amazed to realise that I had spent nearly seven years living at the village. It went by so quickly but I changed so much from the child that first arrived. All of the children and staff have become my family and I know that we will always be there for each other.
In 2014 I successfully graduated from school and moved out into my own ger that was given to me by the Foundation. I now live happily with my older sisters and am studying at university to become a physical education teacher. I love sport, it is my passion. Even though I no longer live at the village I still go back every week for taekwondo classes with my friends. I also receive sponsorship money which helps me with the cost of books, stationery and travel to and from university.
I look up to the older graduates of the ger village and learn from their examples, as some study in Mongolian universities while some study abroad. I believe that if I can successfully graduate from university, all of the younger children will want to pursue higher education as well. I want to be the role model they look up to. I will try to do my very best because by establishing ourselves in society we can have a positive impact at the ger village.
Though I may have left, the ger village will always be the home I grew up in. Our home never abandons us. Even after leaving, the ger village continues to support us. I haven’t forgotten my home and I never will; I’ll always keep it close to my heart.
I love the Blue Skies Ger Village very much. I will do my best at university to make my CNCF family proud."
