At the beginning of the day, many of the girls only had only vague ideas of what they wanted to do in the future but after the visit they walked away with a very different picture of what careers are available to them as well as what they might be interested in doing career wise. One girl decided after visiting the Health Club that she wanted to become a personal trainer.
One lucky young girl Hoa*, had already decided that she wanted to become a director when she grows up. Mrs. Bee Lian Ng, General Manager of The Landmark Vietnam, invited her to sit at her desk to see how it felt and even gave her a few tips on how to be a director. After having the chance to learn the role of Director and ask some questions, she left with the biggest smile on her face.
The day ended with a delicious meal in The Landmark Cozy Cuisine canteen with all the other staff where our children were made to feel very special. The Landmark team also taught the children about etiquette such as queuing and about protecting the environment by saving energy, not wasting food and not littering and showing love and care to all colleagues and guests..
It was a very rewarding and informative day for our girls and gave them food for thought and opened their eyes to possible future careers.
An amazing day for our girls in the Sunshine Home.
