Lastly, a big thanks and appreciation to Savills Vietnam for your kind sponsorship of the all the festivities.
Mid-Autumn or Harvest Moon Festival is a harvest festival celebrated by ethnic Vietnamese people on the 15th day of the 8 month of the Vietnamese Calender and it coincides with the full moon of the Gregorian calender. It is the most important holiday after Tet.
It is also known as the Children's Festival because of the emphasis on the celebration of children. In olden times the Vietnamese believed that children, being innocent and pure, had the closest connection to the sacred and natural world. Being close to children was seen as a way to connect with animist spirits and deities.
