Urangoo, who is now 18, has always been a particularly hard working and determined member of our ger village family, with big dreams about her future.
After studying extremely hard at school and applying 100% focus to achieving the best grades she could (she got all A’s), Urangoo’s commitment was rewarded and she received an incredible offer of two full scholarships.
With one of the offers to study at a university in China, Urangoo made the brave decision to pack up her bags and cross over the border to embark on what will undoubtedly be a life-changing adventure.
Urangoo will now spend the next four years studying Geological Engineering at one of China's top universities and although we will miss her hugely we know that this is the start of a wonderful and potentially very rewarding new chapter.
One of the members of our team, who has herself lived in China, will also be in regular communication with Urangoo, so that despite no longer being in the same country we will still be supporting Urangoo in every way that we can throughout this exciting transition.
During her leaving party, Urangoo made a beautiful, heartfelt and inspiring speech to the other children, saying how lucky they are to be part of the Blue Skies Ger Village Family and talking to them about the importance of studying hard and always being kind and supportive to each other.
“We are all brothers and sisters and I love you all very much. Through living at the ger village I know that I am strong enough to overcome any of life's challenges and that with enough hard work and determination I can achieve all of my dreams.”
From everyone at the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation we wish Urangoo all of the happiness, health and success in the world. We are all so proud of what a strong, independent and beautiful young woman you have become
