Welcome to our October newsletter.
We hope you will enjoy reading some brief recent updates on what is happening in the field in Vietnam and Mongolia. For more up to the minute daily news, please don’t forget to engage with our social media platforms and visit our website, here you will read some truly inspirational stories on the successes of the children and our Foundation.
As always, we have had another very busy quarter period which has culminated in our children returning for a new academic year. Many of our children have gone on to graduate from high school and university, continue their next level of studies or embarked on vocational training courses. Everyone in our Foundation could not be prouder of the children and their sterling achievements. All of the children who come in to our care have had to fight against many odds to remain in and complete their education. All come to us vulnerable, at high risk of exploitation, and at best from home environments that are not supportive nor conducive to study. We sincerely wish all of our 2018 students and graduates the very best in their future endeavours. I would also like to acknowledge our incredible team in the field who patiently and very caringly work alongside the children, guiding them through their education and the many challenges they face on a daily basis. The teams love and commitment to their profession and the children truly changes lives at the very core of each child as an individual.
I also extend our sincere gratitude to the many around the world who support a child’s education through our Child Sponsorship programmes, our Education Scholarship programmes, Sunshine School, and those that have helped to fund the building and equipping of much needed pre-school education and classroom facilities in remote impoverished areas where children would otherwise have no access to an education at all. It is only through your generosity are we able to offer the children an education that they deserve and that is their basic human right.
Last month in September we also celebrated our Founder Christina Noble’s 29th year in Vietnam. Over this time Christina and her Foundation have accomplished so much for so many living in poverty and truly challenging circumstances. Through Christina’s vision and leadership, efforts to highlight the plight of children globally, has assisted in motivating social change and reform in Vietnam and Mongolia and has in turn promoted the need for cross cultural understanding, communication and shifts in individual attitudes from government representatives to street children.
Of course none of this is possible without the generous support of so many, those who have enabled Christina’s Foundation to continue operating over the years. We thank each and every one of you for supporting our work in the field, without such support and belief in what the Foundation does, none of what has and continues to be accomplished would be possible.
You are our unsung heroes, we never forget this, and we ask you not to either.
We look forward to bringing you news from our International Board on new organisation developments and how our transition is progressing in our next Newsletter in November.
