Affectionately known as ‘Flower Boy’ by our Foundation’s team, this brave little man is testament to the strength of spirit that lies within our world’s children and to the important role that love and security plays in childhood development.
Tsetseg* arrived at our Blue Skies Ger Village just over a month ago after being brought in to our care by the local district’s Child and Family Development Agency.
He had been found wondering the streets alone, confused and completely exposed to the many threats of city life. As of yet we have been unable to locate Tsetseg’s parents or find any of his identification paperwork, and it is thought by the authorities that this tiny vulnerable child was abandoned and left to fend for himself.
Although we don’t yet know Tsetseg’s exact age, we believe that he is just four-years-old. When he first arrived at our village it was clear to see that this little man has a big character! On the surface Tsetseg projected lots of confidence, energy and smiles, however through his often aggressive and reactive behaviour our team knew that lots of love, care, and nurturing was needed in order for him to feel calm and secure in his new home.
He walked off into our daycare centre for the first time, whilst holding the flower like it was his treasure; he kept it close to him for the rest of the day and hasn’t damaged any of the plants at our village since. He now loves to take care of the flowers and is always a helpful willing hand to our horticulture team.
