CNCF invited a professional trainer who provided the staff at Cà Mau Orphanage with a two-day training program to improve their social work skills. The feedback from the participants was really positive, they said the knowledge they got from the training will be very practical for their daily work and they are looking forward to other training sections in the future.
On this particular visit, we also had a chance to reconnect with Lam* who used to live in Cà Mau Orphanage and was supported by the CNCF Child Sponsorship Program. Lam is still considered to be a big brother to the children at the Cà Mau Orphanage although he has since left living there . He is now working full-time at the Department of Public Security and looks very handsome in his uniform.
On our other project visit we had a meeting with 21 Sponsored Children in U Minh District. In the meeting, we gave awards to the children who had received excellent and good results at school and gifts to all of the 21 children that attended and the meeting ended with the game "Find our Strengths". There was lots of fun and laughter from the children which encouraged us a lot, and we will definitely be bringing other fun games on our next visit.
